🚀 Join the first-ever Shipaton IRL event organized in Budapest and turn your app idea—or early curiosity—into a real project.

🍕 Food and drinks will be provided at the venue.
Project Kickoff combines lightning talks from local mobile and technology experts, hands-on support from experienced mentors, and interactive workshops for brainstorming, meeting builders, and starting projects.
You do not need an existing idea or team. Solo builders are welcome.
Lightning talks
🎤 Three focused 15-minute talks will cover:
- Fast mobile project initialization and shipping
- Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform
- AI-assisted coding: cognitive surrender and comprehension debt
Interactive workshops
🎮 Short games and audience activities will help you:
- Meet people with similar interests and complementary skills
- Explore, brainstorm, and refine app ideas
- Find potential teammates, feedback partners, or projects to join
Joining a team is optional. You can also work independently and use the session to meet mentors and other builders.
Mentoring and open workshop
🧭 During the main workshop, 4–5 mentors will circulate between attendees and help with:
- Turning an idea into a realistic first version
- Project setup, technical direction, and AI-assisted development
- Product, UX/UI, mobile engineering, and monetization questions
The lightning-talk speakers will also join the workshop for follow-up questions and discussions.
Come with an app idea, a half-formed concept, or simply the motivation to build something. The goal is to leave with a clearer direction, useful connections, and a concrete starting point for Shipaton.
